BRIEF HISTORY

• Nestled in the hills, at the gateway to Kinnaur, a humble journey of a school began. DPS Jhakri's foundation was laid on 14th July 1994. The school with an enrollment of 221 students, twelve teachers and till class VII took its first steps under Mr. Vinod Sharma as Headmaster.
• The first class X batch passed-out in the year 1996-97 with a strength of 25 students.
• The first class XII batch for only non-medical stream compromised of 05 students in the year 1998-99.
• In the last 25 years, the school had its share of ups and down. However, with each passing year the school made a steady and consistent progress in all arenas.

  * Introduction of School Transport	(2018-19)
  * Establishment of ATL Lab	(2018-19)
  * Canteen SANTRIPTI	(2018-19)
  * Introduction of Arts Strem	(2019-20)

• Since then, there has been no looking back. The School has grown from strength to strength in this remote area as a result of dedication and hard work of all the members of Team DPS over the years. The present school, with a strength of around 1200 students is at par with the best educational institutuins in North India.
• DPS Jhakri has accomplished truly remarkable things- from good infrastructure to goof holistic education to good results to well placed alumni.
• In future too, DPS Jhakri intents to:
