Annual Report Session 2022-23 :

1.In the month of May, Directorate of Women & Child Development, H.P. organized ' Kishori Mela' at GSSGS, Rampur.
A total of 16 schools from CBSE & HP Board participated in the event. DPS Jhakri excelled among all schools by bagging
the prizes in all events.

  • Ekta Bhagat (Class XII) - 1st Position (Painting)
  • Shruti Chauhan (Class XII) - 2nd Position(Painting)
  • Aanchal (Class XII) - 1st Position (Slogan Writing)
  • Aryata Sharma, Deepali Chanotra (Class XII), Deepali Ranjha (Class X) - 1st Position (Quiz)

2.'Vigilance Awareness Week' was celebrated in the first week of November with the theme 'Corruption free India for a developed Nation.'
Ektra Bhagat of DPS Jhakri (Class XII) stood first in painting competition and Saumya Sohal stood 2nd in Slogan Writing Competition

3.DPS Jhakri sparked and brought laurels to the school in the state level painting competition under National Awareness Campaign
on Energy Conservation at Corporate Headquarters, Shimla organized by SJVN Ltd.

Anusha Sharma of Class V won consolation prize of Rs.7500/- and Ananya Negi of Class VIII bagged III position by winning
cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-. Ananya Negi of Class VIII participated in the National Level Painting Competition held in Dec,2022.

4. The 30th Sub-divisional level Children Science Congress 2022-23, which was held on 16th & 17th Nov. 2022 at Govt. Sr. Sec. School Nogli.
A total of 420 students from 54 schools of Rampur region participated in the Science Congress.
DPS Jhakri proved its mettle by dominating the entire event in almost all categories

  • - 2nd Position in Science Quiz (Senior Sec.)

5. These Dipsites represented Shimla District in the State Level Competition of Children
Science Congress in IIT Mandi

6. We have had a packed year and there is always something about to take place or to look forward to in all
the three pre-primary, primary and secondary sections of DPS Jhakri.

All the skills gained throughout the year were displayed when the children confidently took part in various activities & competitions

  1. - There were competitions ranging from Hindi & English Poem Recitation, Hindi Transcription debate,
    English & Hindi Extempore, Picture Composition to spell well and show and tell for enhancing the linguistic
    skills of the children at all the levels
  2. - The artistic aura of children was further widened with many art competitions such as Make a
    Bookmark, Penholder, Photo Frame, Umbrella, Clock, Diya & Candle decoration, Card Making, Decoration of
    Christmas Bells/ Tress and Best out of Waste, Maths Tambola
  3. - The most awaited competition of the session was ‘Fancy Dress’ for Classes Nursery & Prep, I & II
    which was well applauded by the audiences & judges. Literary competitions for senior students like
    Power Point Presentation, Science Quiz, English & Hindi Debates, Maths Bingo, Spell Well, Maths Origamy,
    English & Hindi Elocution, English & Hindi Poem Recitation, Theme Play & Grammar Game.
  4. - Creative Activities like Vocal Singing, Mehandi Designing, Solo & Group Dance Competitions,
    Slogan & Painting Competitions, Prayer Singing Competition etc. were also held at all levels
  5. - Sports related Inter House and Inter Class Competitions were organized including
    Basketball Matches & Football Matches and Cricket Tournament, Chess & Dodge Ball.
  6. -To celebrate the beginning of new chapter of their lives, as students of DPS Jhakri,
    a welcome party was thrown to the tiny tots of Class Nursery
  7. - Best Wishes Party for Class X and ‘Adieu Bash’ a farewell party for Class XII batch 2021-22
    was held on 25th April 2022.
  8. - Special assemblies were conducted on Christmas, National Sports Day, Deepawali and Cleanliness Drive
    for Swachh Bharat, National Integration Week, Gandhi Jayanti. World Aids Day, Vigilance Awareness Week, Tulsi Diwas,
    Basant Panchami., Environment Day, Maharana Pratap Jayanti and Janamashtami
  9. - Apart from curricular and co-curricular events there were special celebrations on the Raising Day of the school in the month of July.
    The school organized its 28th Investiture Ceremony on the founder day that is 14th july . The school Head boy, Head girl, Academic Secretary
    Girls/ Boys & Sports Secretary, House Capt. were conferred with badges Sashes & Flags by Pro-Vice Chairman Mr. R.C. Negi. The ceremony was made more enthralling with beautiful cultural performances.
  10. - All students above the age of 14 years were fully vaccinated for COVID as per the norms of Himachal Pradesh Govt.
  11. - Current trends of teaching & learning necessitates a regular updating of teachers.
    Workshops & Seminars
    Teachers were sent to attend the workshops organized by CBSE, DPS Society & other organizations to keep themselves
    abreast of the methodology & pedagogy of teaching & learning
  12. - Excursions & picnics were organized for the students of Nur. to XII in order to instill the values of teamwork,
    self help and humbleness. The students of Class XII were sent to an educational trip to the historical city of Jaipur
  13. - DPS Jhakri organized FETE’2023 & Grand Parents Day in the month of November to honour the unconditional love!
  14. - NCC Annual Training Camp 23(ATC -202) from 26th Oct. 2022 to 8th Oct. 2022 at Sports Hostel Duttnagar was
    attended by 22 NCC cadets of DPS Jhakri. The cadets of DPS Jhakri showcased exemplary talent by bagging varied categories,
    be it, debate, firing, discipline & songs.
  15. - Maintaining its rapport, DPS Jhakri has once again given excellent board results in Class X. Deepali Ranjha stood first with 97.4%, Shweta Pandey 2nd with 97.2% & Amrusha at third position with 94.8%. The CBSE Class XII Boards also gave reasons for Team DPS Jhakri to feel proud. Deepali Chanotra from Humanities Stream scored 96% and stood first, Daksh Prashar from Commerce Stream scored 92.4% and Sejal Bisht from the Science Stream has a score of 92%.

    • Nitin Khojan cleared HFS & placed as ACF.
    • Vikas Negi akumni DPS appointed under secretary at Dept. of Post, Ministry of Communication & IT, GOI.
    • Aman Joshi appointed as P.O. (UCO Bank)
    • Arya Manoj Gupta cleared CLAT & is pusuing LLB at Noida.
    • Yamini Dehloo represented India in Korfball at Thailand.
    • Shalvi Mahajan of batch 2013-14 declared as most impactful women in tech 2022 in germany.
    • Shiksha Kaushal headed the Indian contingent of NCC, held at Singapore.
    • Just three days before our alumni Jasspreet Singh has cleared all his CFA level & is now a qualified CA.
    • Ananya Gupta & Ridhima Gupta of batch 2021-22 have scored well in NEET 2023 & are waiting for their placements
    • Sneha Duglet from batch 2021-22 is pursuing B.Tech at NIT Hamirpur.

    Learning gives, creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge and knowledge makes you great. Last but not the least it is true that all the progressive & praiseworthy work has only been possible because of the massive cooperation with everyone associated with school. We have been getting a great support & cooperation from all management trustee members, staff, parents and students. To conclude, I can only say that we are committed at DPS to produce confident, efficient & self sufficient students who are ready to face the world with empathy and righteousness.
